Obviously it was already too late to tell Mick to not get attached to a probably doomed puppy, so Leonard just sighed once and then followed Mick into the other room, since there wasn't really anything else he could do anyway. Besides, puppies were still puppies and it wasn't as if he hated puppies. He was still human, somewhere deep down there. "He's tiny."

"It's gonna be okay. I promise." Whether he was saying that to the puppy or Leonard, it was hard to tell but he walked away and exchanged numbers with the receptionist before reluctantly heading back to the car, sans puppy. He'd pull through, Mick just knew it.
