"Sure I have. But I'm much prettier than anyone else." Leonard winked and then reached out again, adjusting Barry's cowl for him. "Besides, I'm not offering much of anything. I'll do what I'm going to do anyway. All I'm doing is letting you in on my thoughts, so we can think about cooperating. Just trust me to be myself, Barry. Flash."
"If you'll do it yourself, without me, and you don't need me and you don't care either way, why am I handcuffed to a radiator?" Barry asked, giving Leonard a look because seriously? This was not a lowkey offer between friends.
"Cause he's the jealous type." Mick offered to Barry with a casual shrug.
Leonard sent a glare Mick's way, then looked back at Barry and shrugged. "You weren't coming for a visit and staying without incentive. So I gave you one." By literally not giving him a choice about staying. "Besides, I'm not done with your geek yet."
"He's not mine and you shouldn't hurt him." If they needed tech support, they could have at least paid him. Whatever, he didn't know what to do and now he was trapped here on a sort of forced sit in with Leonard and Mick as they forced his friend to work on their guns. "You knocked him out, he won't be up for a while."
"He'll be up soon enough, if he knows what's good for him." Right now, Leonard wasn't really in any hurry. "Tell me about your injury. I thought you healed fast." He shrugged, explaining how he knew that. "I'm observant. Shouldn't you be fully back to your old self by now?"
"My powers are malfunctioning." The wave that hit him wasn't only destructive and painful, it sort of knocked him out of working and he was like a faulty tv, he worked on and off but nothing stuck. And he didn't have enough food to consume to get his body back into gear nor the motivation to want to so he was constant bouncing between well and unwell at such an unstable rate. Stein thought there was a psychological block there as well, something holding him back.
"What even happened?"
"A building fell on me. Ten storeys. And a car park." Barry shrugged his shoulders. "Caitlin saved me but - my powers are a mess."
"You are a mess," Leonard pointed out, observing it astutely. It was easy enough, from his vantage point. "Seems like that might play into it. You don't want to do this any more and you blame yourself." Not exactly difficult to put together why he was such a mess. "You need a break."
"I'll be fine, I just have to get better." Get his head back in the game and get over himself, he knew that. It was just hard when he knew he let everyone else down. "I need to get out of these cuffs."
"In a bit. First we need to wait for your bff over there to wake up and then he can finally do what we need him to. Don't worry, by the way, Mick was careful. He should be fine in a few days." Definitely still very bruised, but fine. "Until then, we can talk. What do you know about what's happening in the city?"
